Privacy Policy
Short version: Your delivery history stays on your phone. Not in our database. We do not require an account, we do not show ads, and we do not keep a central database of your personal shipment history.
1. Who we are
Pracely is an independent Android app that helps you track packages from Indian couriers in one place. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app.
2. Data we store on your device
By default, the following stay in app-private storage on your device:
- Tracking numbers, courier choice, titles, and notes you add
- Tracking timelines and status history returned by couriers
- Favorites, archive state, and app preferences (theme, notification settings)
Uninstalling the app deletes this data unless you previously exported it.
3. What leaves your device
When you refresh a shipment, Pracely sends the minimum needed to look up status:
- Tracking number
- Courier routing information
- Standard network metadata (IP address, coarse user-agent) as part of normal internet traffic
Lookups go to the courier (or, for some couriers in the future, a thin relay that does not store your personal shipment history). Notes, favorites, and full timelines do not leave your device by default.
4. What we do not collect
- Name, email, or phone number as an account
- Advertising ID / ads / analytics SDKs
- SMS or call logs (no SMS permissions)
- Precise location
- Camera images (scanner is not shipped in the current release)
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Pracely can show delivery updates on your device. You can choose lock-screen redaction so sensitive details stay hidden when your phone is locked.
6. Backups
Your shipment database is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer by default, so Google or a new phone does not silently receive your delivery history. You may export a JSON copy yourself from Settings when you want a portable backup.
7. Optional crash reporting
Crash reporting is off by default. If a future release offers opt-in crash reports, they will exclude tracking numbers and other shipment identifiers.
8. Your controls
- Delete a single shipment (and its timeline) in the app
- Delete all local data from Settings
- Export tracking history via the system share sheet
- Turn notifications off in system or app settings
9. Children
Pracely is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children.
10. India DPDP alignment
We aim to practice purpose limitation, data minimization, transparency, and user control (including local deletion). This consumer policy is the public summary.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the effective date on this page and reflect the change in the app where appropriate.
